Visual Complex Analysis Tristan Needham
Publisher: Oxford University Press, USA

This is a purely geometric introduction to complex analysis. Whenever I study a new concept, I try to find the mental model behind it. This bridge is almost entirely responsible for our expansive knowledge . The author ties his hands behind is back, forcing himself to do everything one might expect in a book on complex analysis using geometric arguments. Moreover, complex image analysis can be achieved already by a simple integrate-and-fire model neuron, emphasizing the power and plausibility of rapid neural computing with spike times. This give us a way of representing minimal surfaces using meromorphic data, providing a bridge between the geometry of minimal surfaces and complex analysis. One by Priestley entitled “Introduction to Complex Analysis” and one by Needham entitled “Visual Complex Analysis”. Listed below is my top ten list of Complex Analysis textbooks. In fact the radius of converge of a Taylor series is the distance from the central point to the nearest singularity—be it in the real or complex plane(See the book "Visual Complex Analysis" for more). This blog is for comments on the exercises from Visual Complex Analysis by Tristan Needham, which are published here. Priestley came highly recommended but seems a dense read to me. Most of this is way beyond me – Im an architect by trade, but I've been fascinated by these ideas ever since I encountered Needham's Visual Complex Analysis. Visual data analysis blends highly advanced computational methods with sophisticated graphics engines to tap the extraordinary ability of humans to see patterns and structure in even the most complex visual presentations. I never really understood what was going on there until last year, when I read the utterly brilliant book Visual Complex Analysis , by Tristan Needham. I have now re-read it and I hope to re-read it many more times. I first read this book in 2001. This radical first course on complex analysis brings a beautiful and powerful subject to life by consistently using geometry (not calculation) as the means of explanation.
